the tragic greek figure who fell in love with his own reflection as if it were someone else: unable to leave the allure of his image, he eventually realised that his love could not be reciprocated, causing narcissus to melt away from the fire of passion that burned inside him. a gold and white flower that shares his name grew in the place of his body.
